In fact I think it's better than much of what's on TV. However, I only have room on my watch list for one edgy cop show, and <i>The Shield</i> solidly fills that slot. (Maybe if McNulty were bald...) That said, the scene with nothing but the f-word for dialogue was just brilliant. Will look into <i>Peep Show</i>. I tuned out during the first season, because it was just way too intense for me at the time. But I always intended to come back to it, and still do. I'll even agree with <em>Arrested Development</em> though it took me over a season to finally "get" it. I've just finished the first disc of the second season, and I found myself laughing unforgivably. So there are still a few on this list that I've been meaning to look into...
