Seems to be the identity struggle of the state that the mountains shall forever split it into two cultures. But I'm glad it wound up as it did. What, are wheat exports going to rise because they put it on the quarter? I don't know if you were here when it was being designed. The east side of the state was clammering for a design like wheat or apples (though apples might have worked). I haven't seen the quarter up here yet, but that doesn't surprise me. The East Coast thinks we're in Canada. I loved that idea of just Washington on the back of the coin. "Heads!" "Heads? Damn, it is!"
