We have a name!

OK, what with not posting in the last month, I forgot to share one of the biggest developments in my world lately. My effort to build a sketch comedy army to take over the internet?… We have a name!
Sure, we’ve had a name for several weeks now, so it’s sorta anti-climactic. But I’ve yet to share it with you, the good people of my blog readership.
As I described months ago at the beginning of the search for a moniker, trying to pick out a good name was not a simple proposition. For a comedy web site, I knew I wanted something witty or catchy (yet not annoying) and something easy to spell/remember. And it had to say new media and say short-form comedy, all while not seeming dorky and lame for doing so. (It’s harder than you think to include the idea of funny in a group name without inviting cynicism.)
In the end, I don’t really, really, really love the name, but I think it will do. Our collective had a nice long talk about the strengths and drawbacks of four finalists. Whether our name is a winner or not, we had a very solid conversation about it.
So, drumroll… We are
There’s nothing at the site but a placeholder just now. But SOOOOOON…

You could take it one step further with BreviTV.com, but it could be that I’m just bitter that you don’t have “Legion” in there somewhere…

Well, we all know that the REAL name of the site is “Legion of BrevityTV.com”
Now, the full name won’t be on the t-shirts or the logo or anywhere on the site… But YOU will know what it’s REAL name is.
